However,\nwith the invention of the screen door, this overshadowed the need for Dutch\ndoors. They only made a comeback in the 1950s and then now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Present Day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To this day, Dutch doors remain a handy entrance and exit\npoint for spaces of a home. This includes nurseries to safely enclose children and\nprovide accessibility for adults in another room. Another reason why homeowners\nprefer Dutch doors is to prevent animals from escaping. Dogs may be inclined to\nrun out the door, but Dutch doors allow the owner to answer the door and the\ndog be kept inside without worry.
